PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The proposed TEA project is a restoration of the Beach Chalet, a National Historic Landmark, located at 1000 Great Highway, on Ocean Beach at the west end of Golden Gate Park, City and County of San Francisco. The building, situated on a major traffic corridor, will be used as the Golden Gate Park and Ocean Beach Visitors' Center, providing a public rest stop, information, and education center.
