PROJECT DESCRIPTION: To provide transportation aesthetics and scenic values for the 2.7 mile long section of Beach Boulevard (Smart Street Project) from the Garden Grove Freeeway (SR 22) to the San Diego Freeway (I-405) by replacing approximately 70,300 square feet of asphalt paving in the existing raised medians with extensive landscaping and decorative paving. The project will also compliment a planned joint City/Southern California Edison project to underground existing utility lines from the Garden Grove Freeway to 13th Street at an additional cost of $3.2 million in Rule 20A and 20B monies.
