LOCATION: Fairfield County, Connecticut

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Merritt Parkway carries 65,000 vehicles a day. It is one of two major highway facilities serving the employment centers in lower Fairfield County and New York City. The objective of this project was to restore the landscaping, and the architectural and historic features of the 38-mile parkway. Also, restoration of Route 8/15 interchange was part of the plan.
