LOCATION: Will County, Illinois

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project consists of the design and construction of a 2.7-mile bicycle and hiking trail along the I&M Canal in Heritage Park in Joliet and Lockport Townships. The trail will connect the existing Lockport Historical Trail along the I&M Canal to Joliet's City Center. This first stage of development will include bike bridges, a pedestrian boardwalk, and a structural analysis of the historic structures and three locks along the I&M Canal.
