Wildcat Creek Underpass for Fort Riley Boulevard

LOCATION: Riley County, Kansas

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project is located along the Wildcat Creek below the Union Pacific Railroad and the Fort Riley bridge. By converting this land into pedestrian hiker/biker trails, three major pedestrian street crossings located along Fort Riley Boulevard and the surrounding roadways can be avoided. By allowing for this type of pedestrian underpass, there will be less interference with the 11,000 or more vehicles that travel daily on Fort Riley Boulevard.
