LOCATION: Frankfort, Kentucky

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project involves the restoration of an unused, historic Whipple iron truss bridge across Benson Creek for pedestrian and bicycle use. The restoration included repair and/or replacement of steel reinforcements and the timber bridge floor, paving of approaches to entrance and exit, installation of historic interpretive panel, park benches, trash receptacles, pipe railing and lighting.
