The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) collects and disseminates data on the state of mass transportation via the National Transit Database (NTD) program. Over 600 of the nation’s transportation providers submit data to the NTD annually. Both the public and private sectors use this data to assess the current state of mass transit and plan for the future. National Transportation Atlas Databases (NTAD). Includes rail line data and station, stop, and parking data for all modes. Also includes status, mileage, and opening dates of new rail projects. TranStats: The Intermodal Transportation Database. Washington, DC: U.S. Department of Transportation, Bureau of Transportation Statistics. It includes a searchable index, interactive analytical tools, and interactive mapping for visualizing data. |
