A variety of reports and studies that pertain to traffic management issues in the City of Los Angeles. Most of the information dates as far back as the early 1950's, with a few reports dating back as far as 1924.

What are the particular subject strengths of your collection?:
Documentation of innovative traffic management measures developed by the City of Los Angeles and later used by other municipal agencies throughout the nation.

much of the information in the library has been synthesized and summarized on the LADOT website, then "About Us", then "History" then the "Transportation Topics and Tales" hot link at the end. "Transportation Topics and Tales" includes 62 short stories, along with old photos, regarding transportation topics, such as the first traffic signals, parking meters, signs, noteworthy roadways, the beginning of the freewaysystem, etc.
