The collection is primarily intended to meet the needs of MDT . The library attempts to collect as many MDT, AASHTO, TRB, and other transportation agency publications as possible, as well as U.S. DOT and FHWA publications. Cataloging of electronic resources is a priority.

What are the particular subject strengths of your collection?:
MDT Library's collection covers primarily road, highway, bridge engineering and design, as well as materials for human resources. It is strongest in highway engineering and design. Secondary strengths include interaction of public roads and the environment, including wildlife and wetlands.
