Information resources such as online classes and tutorials are free to anyone; our video library and surplus reference material distribution service are available, for free, to employees of California's local, regional, state, and federal transportation agencies.
Provide a description of your information collection:
We partner closely with the Harmer E. Davis Transportation Library, headquartered at the Institute of Transportation Studies at UC Berkeley, to deliver information resources to public agency employees in California. The library has one of the most comprehensive collections in the country, and we are pleased to extend access to the library's materials and expert staff to California transportation professionals.
The Technology Transfer Program itself maintains a multimedia library, several online training courses and tutorials, a clearinghouse of training opportunities in the state and online, and an expert assistance network where we match transportation professionals with experts who can help them find answers to challenges they face. Tech Transfer also publishes technical reports on pavement technology; produces a quarterly newsletter with emphasis on workforce development, infrastructure management, and safety; and maintains an online database of resources and references for pedestrian and traffic safety.
